Good thing: Today is [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s birthday! *muppetflails*

Bad thing: The subway sucks. It took nearly an hour to get to work today, which means I'll have to stay later.

Good thing: My hair looks fantastic today. And has done for a week now.

Bad thing: The red has faded out. *pouts*

Good thing: It's Friday! And [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] is crashing at our place tonight!

Bad thing: Still a bit nauseous. Stupid Fred.

Good thing: Death to the funk!

You know, I've heard that too! I know getting red out of hair when you WANT it to go away (like red to blonde) is redonkulous.

Red is weird. Or EVIL. Etc.

*nod* Makes sense, R's hair is the same way. One thing I did find is that it helped right after I dyed my hair to not wash it for three days: colour on Monday, wash on Thursday. I know that's super tough, with what you just said re: grease, but if you plan it in advance and take advantage of pigtails, talcum powder and hats?

Uhm.

/not helpful, blathering.

You can wash, just not shampoo? Er. That's what I did when I went red.

Mine too. We have the same kind of hair, it's very very fine. Maybe use just an eensy ammount of shampoo?

but see, they want you spend lots ofmoney, and if they did that, then you wouldn't spend as much. I know there's some tricks to keep the color longer, but I just don't know them. Adding splenda to the dye is when you're bleaching and you don't want chemical burns.

Nah! Taking care of oneself and pampering oneself and making yourself pretty are one of life's great pleasures.

It makes total sense to me. I have to wash my hair every day otherwise I feel GROSS. I can manage to go one day without shaving if I'm lounging around, but anything past that makes me feel disgusting too.

Same here, and I have crazy thick masses of hair. But if I don't wash it every day? INSANE FRITO. I start trying to claw off my scalp.

Usually. It's why when I was living in DC, I'd shower at night during the winter. I'd have some spectacular bed-head in the morning. (To illustrate - Jen came out of her room once and exclaimed "AUGH! You have Mel hair!") but I didn't die of COLD.

It's warm and dry enough here that I can just let it air dry.

*dryly* Ha.

(Today is a brilliant case of Mel Hair and I having it bound and restrained)
