The Walkabout is definitely one of the things that makes Australian culture great. There is no corner of the earth where the traveler will not meet one on a round-the-world odyssey. Canadians seem to travel often on shorter trips; between 15-20 friends and family members, the only continent that remains unvisited is Antarctica, and if I need to know about what to expect in Norway, Kazakhstan, Bolivia, or Malawi, there's always someone to call.
