Oh, forgot the good news!

Silly me, how could I forget to mention that backpay from last July finally came through? I got $600 extra in my pay, and an overall payrise of 3%. Goes up another 3% in July. A lot of the lump sum got taken in tax - about the same amount again - but $600 means I can probably manage to get up to Sydney for Queen's Birthday weekend. So I need to visit the travel agent on Saturday and ask about cheap flights.
