Monday is fine for playing tour guide.... but you'll need to come up with 'other' things to do as that's the day the museums are closed in NYC. I can get you into the Met for free when it is open, but it and almost any other museum worth going to (the Frick, the American Museum of Natural History, the Transit Museum, the Museum of the City of New York, etc.) are closed on Mondays always. If you can come up earlier on Sunday, the Met is open until 5-ish or we can try it before you depart on Tuesday.
As for the camera... it's not mine as I forgot mine. It's sitting on my bookshelf under a Winnipeg Jets ball cap as it has been for some months.
