Today's the day

deathpixieGot my interview for the CDPP position today. At 4.45pm, so it's probably early to be getting nervous.
Tell that to the butterflies in my stomach. Although that could be the muslei bar I had for breakfast.
I saw Dave Gorman with Phil and his mate last night. Absolutely hysterical - I literally laughed until I cried. I'm now getting itchy travelling feet again - he was talking about his Googlewhack-inspired journies. And being the happy little experience sponge I am, I want to do something like that now - find a really amusing and bizarre travelling game that will take me all over the world at random. Of course, that means I'd have to find someone to give me lots of money for the project, which I doubt will happen. And I can't grow a beard.
(sorry, in-joke. Dave was talking about how he grew a beard so people would take him seriously and that's how he got advance money from a publisher, and that's how he ended up travelling the world meeting people he'd found with Googlewhacking. Because he was procrastinating.)
Googlewhacking, btw, is where you put two completely unrelated words into Google, and come up with only one match. I can see Google getting used later. *grins*
Two other bits of news: one, I'm on the working party involved in revamping the Department's intranet and Internet pages. Which means some new skills for me. Two, I was apparently on Today Tonight last night, having been accosted by a camera crew on my way back from lunch last night. Oh the shame, appearing on one of those moronic commercial-station 'current affairs' programs. Although apparently my "No War" badge was very prominent. *chees*
