I just killed an incipient cold dead in a day by mega-dosing on fresh garlic. Woke up with the ghastlies yesterday morning (sore throat, sniffles etc) so I had by weekly garlic beef and veg from the local Chinese joint and asked them to add extra garlic. They duly did - and lots of it! Okay, so my fingers smelt funny this morning but the cold is dead. Fit as a fiddle today.
If ever a vampire tried to eat me, they'd keel over dead in a non-heartbeat *g*.
