Hell has frozen over

deathpixieThere's a social event (the formal farewell for Tony, our boss), and I'm staying here at work instead.
Why is this so?
Well, there's a couple of reasons. The first is that I'm completely wiped today - I'm guessing it's because I have less blood in my system than usual (and hey, I'm starting my period today, how's that for planning?) - to the point I'm going to leave Cecil here tonight and catch the tram home. Second, I'm flat broke - well, almost, I have $6 in my wallet, which will get me home - and I really can't afford another night out pre-payday (which is Thursday, hooray!). And thirdly, I meant it about the cutting back. And I know if I go to a work function, I will end up in a state because of the blood donating thing. And I have karate tomorrow, as well as work, and I'm supposed to be learning appeals, so I want a clear head tomorrow.
So, no beer for me tonight.
What I will be doing, I think, is having a bath and a big mug of cocoa and then having a quiet night with the computer.
And ye gods, do I deserve it - I've just been on the phone for twenty minutes with the World's Dumbest Man, and I have the uneviable task of dealing with him at the counter tomorrow. Bloody hell.
Okay, definitely having that bath now. :P Night all, I'm outta here.
