The lurgi continues...

Let's see, I crawled out of bed *peers at the clock* two and a half hours ago. I feel like death warmed up, and probably look it too. I did manage to stagger to the phone at about 8.30 this morning to let Paula know there was a snowball's hope in hell of me turning up to work today, which she was fine with - I guess I did sound pretty sick.

That's the cool thing about working in a small court, they don't give you the hard time Melbourne used to give me about taking days off. The lists are done for court (I did those on Thursday), so it should be just what turns up during the day, and the cash. I just hop it wasn't one of those violent weekends, when everyone and their neighbour comes in on Monday for an intervention order.

I have to go in tomorrow - Court day, and we need one in court, the other in the office. If I take it easy today, drink more, and take those echinacea tablets (bleah!) I should rally. Half of this is from last night, any way.

I've pretty much decided on DexCon - I just have to wait until Peter gets back so I can get the time off. As a part timer, I have nine rec days a year, and two weeks will use about six of them. And I don't need time off this year for Christmas, since I don't have the three-hour trip home to see my family. Which gives me three spare (and since I work three days a week, that's a wee and a bit). Cool.

I have been slightly productive today - managed to address some of the email backlog. Just have to email Craig from karate, and maybe arrange a meeting down in Melbourne. I've been really slack regarding staying in contact with people - haven't felt up to telling them what's going on, I suppose. But I've been hiding out long enough. As soon as I shake off this flu, I'm going to have to make an effort to go and _do_ stuff.

Signing off - I really need a shower. And food would be a good idea. I haven't eaten since lunch yesterday. Not really hungry tho'.
