Just a short post today.

It's late and I want to get to bed soon, because I'm really tired still. I logged on to post the last chapter of "Suffer", and felt I might as well get the most out of the dial-up. Twice in one night - no, I'm not addicted, I can stop any time I like! *grins*
Mick called; he's coming up this way en route to his fmaily in Canberra next Monday, and wanted to hazard a lunch date. He's a nice bloke, and likes all the same music I do, and says the nicest things, but I'm hoping he isn't falling for me. After twelve years, I want to enjoy my freedom for a bit, not get embroiled in another relationship. *grins at Trisha* Aren't men silly buggers? They won't commit when we want them to, and get all clingy when we don't. *shrugs* I guess I'll have to remind him again. Is it my fault I'm irresistable? *looks pixie-innocent and then giggles* Getting laid puts you in such a bloody good mood, I can tell you.
All set to visit Raph - I didn't have time to mail her tonight, so I'll have to tomorrow before we go to see Chris Wilson playing in Albury. Yes, I have a social life! I'm going to a "Wild Women's Full Moon Festival" BRM's friend Greta is organising on Saturday - it'll be the chance to meet people who aren't a) police, b) lawyers, or c) defendants. I'll probably have to not say what I do - I like my job, but it sucks socially. ;) Still, I might even try my hand at fire-twirling, as BRM seems to think Greta will ask me to do. I'm aiming at new experiences this year, to stop myself from stagnating again.
Ooh, surprise in my mailbox, the brick one out the front of my house - a card from Ashlan! Looks like I'm going to have to pull my finger out and work on that birthday fic for her, to make it extra-good to match the extra-cute get well card. And yes, it didn make me feel better. :)
