Got the house to myself, I'm on chat for the first time in about two weeks, and I've got my fave CD on repaet.
Life is good.
I'ts even better to have a nice relaxing evening after a frantic couple of days. Busy court, although I'm convinced Mr Gurvich is a pod person - he was actually making jokes and having a conversation with me today, a far cry from the grunts I used to get in Heidelberg. "Who are you and what have you done with the magistrate?" Got in someone from Shepparton to fill in for Paula, which meant I was in the office and he was in court, since he didn't know where anything was. Talk about the deep end - my scant knowledge of Family Law was sorely tested today. :P
"Suffer the Children" is finished. I think I'm suffering from post-fictal depression. ;) It's always a bit of a let down, finishing something you've been working on for a while. Especially something that's gotten such great reviews etc. In a way I feel sort of bereft. My attention-getting fic is over! Wah! *chuckles* I guess I should work on "Justice" now, but for the moment, I'm more inclined to drift a couple of days. Finishing something always leaves me flat for a few days.
One more sleep before I catch the train to Sydney! I'm getting excited, no scratch that, I AM excited. I get to see my RaphieSis! And we get to do fun stuff!
(Raph, it's pretty certain that any rock climbing gyms will be in the vicinity of outdoors places, so we'll be able to find a tent for you). :)
Hmm, what else? Not much, just the usual sin and depravity that is Wodonga court lists. Incredibly pointless intervention order application by a school girl who spent the morning grandstanding in the court, demanding to know when her case would be on. Answer? When your lawyer is done talking for you. It got so I was ready to throw heavy law books at her next time she turned up at the counter. *sighs* Fifteen minutes for lunch does not make for happy court clerics, as Trisha calls us. *giggles* I smite thee with Prayer of Grouchy Magistrate!
