I suppose I should be glad we're not busy, because the last time I worked here, the stress was pretty intense. Still, that's the courts for you - periods of boredom punctuated by frantic activity. And it's not my fault I'm such a legend I get all my work done early, is it? ;)

So yeah, 2003 and back to paperwork. This situation definitely shall be corrected, if only so I stop boring friends to death with my whinging about how bored I am. New Year's was fun - Phil and I wandered around a few inner-city pubs for various 'quiet drinks'. Considering said drinks started in the Elephant and Castle (at least, that's what I think the name is. Definitely involves an elephant and something non-sentient) at 2.30 in the afternoon (early escape from work, whoo!) and finished in the Portland Hotel at 3.30 am, I thought I was doing pretty well to be upright and able to form sentences. And thanks for the patience of Andraste and Bounce, who waited for us to surface the next day for Coffee and World Domination.

I don't think I've talked so much about everything and anything as I have this past week. The reason why I wouldn't share a house with a ficcer, I think - I'd have a permanently raspy voice. As it is, I'm croaking again this morning.

The clock's ticking, so I'll wrap this up - I'm stealing online access from one of the few computers here at Melbourne Magistrates' that have it whilst waiting for the mail to show, but work needs to be pretended to be done at some point. Request for folks - email me on the work addy? It's in a friends-locked post about two posts ago, and I'm desperately bored. Even when the mail does come, there won't be much there as Australia Post isn't delivering today, it's just the courier service.

Happy New Year to all. :)
