deathpixie: (road)
An hour until my interview. Wish me luck. :)

'Kay, so it's a few hours (quite a few, actually!) later, but I've been busy, catching up on work I was too preoccupied to do before. But yes, I survived. I think I did okay - I have no way of telling with these things, and I should find out the end of next week. And yeah, while the money would come in really handy in about a month's time, I won't be devastated if I don't get it. If I don't, I will be finding out what about my interview technique I need to improve, that kind of thing.

I'm just really glad to get the whole thing over and done with. And I have an evening with Tim Freedman to look forward to now. :) Many thanks to all those who wished me luck, it was greatly appreciated.

While I'm here, a brief description of the weekend, since I rarely get time online these days while the weekend is actually happening. Friday night was drinks after work, and a weaving cycle ride home. Saturday was getting my Walkabout photos into an album (yes, there will a a Gathering of the Maelstrom to show them off!) catching up with a friend from the Walkabout, dinner at the Indian place around the corner (really good food and great prices!) and then Sunday was spent with Phil. One of his post-drinking fry-ups, as he'd been playing up the night before, and then doing it all over again at a series of Brunswick locals. Curious thing about Melbourne pubs - they tend to have bands a lot on the weekends, which is good if you're wanting to hear a band, but not so good if you actually want to hear what your drinking companion is saying. So we went from pub to pub as bands started playing. And talked. And drank. And then I poured Phil onto the tram and took myself home.

*hmms* My weekends are starting to sound the same. Must find non-drinking alternative entertainment...
