Ending the drought...
Mar. 4th, 2003 09:50 amAmazing what a difference drinking two and three quarter litres of water will do for your mood - I feel 100% better. The excellent - if exhausting - training I had last night might have also had something to do with it. So yeah, back on track and feeling a lot better in myself... at least until next time I have too much time to think. *grins*
And speaking of water... that's what we've had falling out of the sky the past few days. Rain, lots of glorious rain. I don't know if it counts as a drought breaker yet, but you can see it doing good in the parks and gardens of Melbourne. Not so good on the streets of Melbourne, what with the general slipperiness of things, but I'm willing to put up with a bit of skidding in return for water. Besides, it hasn't been slowing me down - made it into work in fifteen minutes today - that's about five km, although my bike computer is still battery-less.
Just posted a repsonse to the first "Bloody Ink" mailing list challenge. Yes, I am at work, but VIMS (the program we use) is down yet again, and there's not a lot to be done without it. Once I've done this post I'll have to look for something else to do - there is some email to be answered, and I could always try and finish that chapter of Death and the Art (yeah, I know I keep talking about it, but if I don't keep reminding myself, it won't get done). And hey! there's always Reality Strikes: Spring Break - I've had a post reverberating through my head for a couple of weeks now. So yeah, many choices here...
At least until I can work. *grins*
