Screwing myself to the sticking point
Apr. 30th, 2003 01:52 pmSo, there I am at the doctor's yesterday, all psyched up for the blood test, only to find the pathology lab that does the actual jabbing closes at 5pm. Considering my appointment was at 5.20, not exactly helpful. As a result I have to go back today after leaving work slightly early.
We did manage to eliminate diabetes 'though.
I'm kinda hoping the blood screen does turn up something - while I like being healthy, and a clear iron level would stick it up the nose of all those people who tell me you can't be healthy on a vegetarian diet or that I don't look after myself properly, *grins* having it clear would leave stress as the Most Likely Suspect. And that sucks, because I know I'm stressed, I'm dealing with it, there's just not a whole lot I can do until I get out of this bloody job. Which I might not find out about for another week - I just checked the calender.
She also asked me about depression, which is, forgive the pun, depressing, because I've been there and done that and I really don't have time for this again. Besides, this was all about me doing what I want to do and being all independent and carefree and stuff, and four months after Walkabout I'm depressed again? Bugger that for a joke.
So, here I am, hoping I'm iron deficient.

I've done pretty much all my work, and I'm not really inclined to grab more - well, I did grab a few things from Jo G, but those won't take a huge amount of time. What I do want to do is finish my Bloody Ink challenge fic - I figure I have two more days (American time) to get it done before April's over. I wrote half last night, and it won't take long to finish - it's very short. Okay, way under the 2500 word count, but there you go. ;)
