Around 1.30-ish we were given the happy news that, due to an update of various things on our computers, we have to have them turned off at 4pm. Which means we get to go home an hour early. This is all prtty cool, until Deb, the revocation supervisor, tells us that since we're behind already (there's been a lot of absences this week), we're going to have to work our tails off to get as much done as we can before 4pm.

I have just done sixty applications in roughly 3 hours. Which is no small task.

So, I'm about to get offline, and off the computer altogether. And then I'm going to go have lunch, since in all the production, I forgot to have it. Not a big deal, though - it's morning tea day and I had dip and celery and other good stuff to nibble on.

Have a good weekend, folks. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], call me at home re which session of X2 you want to go to this weekend.

One of the few times I actually turn AIM on, and no-one's around. You people call yourself Net addicts? Bah, I spit on your keyboards. *grins*

So, a Friday night without drinking. Admittedly I didn't actually go anywhere where I might be tempted to drink, so it's a bit too easy, but that was more to do with the early finish than anything. No-one really felt like hanging around for an extra hour to wait for happy hour at Legals. But I did end up spending money anyway - got myself a haircut and a new blouse, since I do need new clothes occasionally and I saw this top in the shop opposite the hairdresser's whilst I was waiting my turn and decided I wanted it. Besides, it looks good on me. :)

A nice little surprise in my mailbox when I got home - a Montreal postcard from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. Figures, that it would show up just when she gets back to Toronto. ;) But thanks, 'Mouse, it's very much appreciated and I'm suitably envious of you now. I can't give you an answer re August just yet, but I'm sure you'll know if things pan out. :)

I've also spent most of the evening on the phone to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], which was nice, since I haven't spoken to her for a few weeks now. We talked until we were hoarse, and still took ten minutes of "bye mate... or and what about...?" before hanging up. Talking to Raph gives me the happies. :)

I suppose I should go to bed. I'm tired, but I don't really feel like sleeping yet. What I feel like is talking to people. Maybe I should try chat? Tho', if there's no-one on AIM, I doubt there'll be anyone awake in chat. Maybe I'll just go to bed after all. Busy-ish day tomorrow - I'm going to try and get my passport renewed, since it expired, which means photos and going to the post office and giving them large amounts of money. :P Still, it has to be done - I feel naked without a current passport.
