Nothing like a hot bath with a good book to make you feel better. :)

Last night was fun - nothing special or out of the usual, but I enjoyed it. A few drinks, one of the Griffin's rather yummy burgers, good company. Flowers from Mindy, a card and a contribution to the Gym Fund from Lise, season one Rome from the roomie and a CD of Johnny music. Also more contributions to the Gym Fund from Mum and Dad and Seraph. I was up probably later than I should have, but it was all for a good cause and it was worth the tiredness today.

So again, thanks to everyone for making my birthday a nifty one.

DEXCON: Shameless Guilt Tripping

Okay, we (being [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and myself) are trying to organise Dexon stuff, however we're running into a snag regarding a venue. Most of the regulars would know that the Bishop and the Belcher has moved locations and we've lost our handy basement room. We're looking at the Madison, but because we don't have much in the way of actual numbers yet, they're giving us issues.

So, what's to be done?

This is where the guilt tripping comes in. If you're planning to go and haven't registered yet, GO TO THE WEBSITE AND REGISTER. If you know someone who is planning to go and they haven't registered. TELL THEM TO GO TO THE WEBSITE AND REGISTER. If you or someone else is hesitating, not sure of whether you/they want to come, then bear in mind a weekend of geeky fun with fanficcers from all over the world, conversations that cover every topic under the sun, a writer's workshop, the fabulous formal and Johnny Devil and the Screaming Demons, and make up your mind to be there or else miss all the fun.

Also, if people could spread the word in their own LJs that registrations are needed to be in, that'd be appreciated. :)

Once we have better numbers, we'll be able to sort things out and Dex and Lise can stop stressing. *hides from the roomies* It also means various prices will go down. So, remember, registration ends FIRST WEEK OF JUNE and (say it once more with me) GO TO THE WEBSITE AND REGISTER!!!


PS: One of the Aussie ficcers, can you SMS [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and tell him to register? I'm not sure how much LJ reading he's doing on Walkabout...
