I knew today was going to be a good day. Just got an email from Dad, telling me he'd put some money into my Australian account as an early Christmas gift (and possibly to get me to put some on my credit card, since I was past due on the payment again *wry*). What should I find when I go into my account? $4000 that wasn't there before. No, Dad wasn't outrageously generous (if he had been, I would have sent the money right back!). The Australian Tax Department, in their wisdom, have decided to finally process my return and give me the money they owe me. Well, not as much as I was expecting, but $4000 is certainly nothing to be sneezed at.
I've dumped $3800 on the card straight away. The remaining $200, plus the $200 Dad gave me *smooches her Dad again* is for emergency payments should things get argh again. I have $50 CA going through to Paypal at the moment (there's a 6-8 day processing time, bleah), I'll drop another $50 from this pay and etc. It'll take a while, but I'll get that damn credit card paid off if it kills me.
And hey, I can buy Christmas presents for the family now, since I needed the card to do it.
Also, whilst I'm in the thanking mood, thanks to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] who got me paid time for the Brat as an early Chrissie gift, since I was about to expire on her account too. *hugs*
I feel so much better. Talk about weights being lifted.
Edit: And when I get home, what should I find but my Chrissie present from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]? *grins* Thanks, mate, and I'm being good. No opening it until Christmas. *pouts*
