'Tis the season...

Man, it's been a week. And it's not over yet.

First up... Happy birthday wishes to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], for today. :) We're heading out tonight for sushi and the usual Griffin-ness.

Christmas-ness has been achieved, which has improved my mood no end - Wednesday I managed to snag an online voucher for Chapters, and the 15% off justified my using the credit card to actually buy presents. So far I have Mindy, Dex, Cosmic and Johnny, with half of Dad's also acquired. And actual ideas for some of the people I haven't gotten stuff for yet. We also got Christmas cards posted on Thursday, which is another thing to tick off on the mental list. I'm planning on buying/writing/posting the family ones today at lunch. Well, buying and writing at lunch, and posting on the way home.

I also got paid yesterday, and for the first time in a month, the money isn't earmarked for anything except day-to-day expenses. Which means Christmas presents for the remaining people, maybe even those new shoes I need (my Christmas gift to myself). And this week is the first week on the new pay scale, so next pay will actually be higher. Yay!

Seriously insanely busy week, tho'. Tuesday was band night, Wednesday was shopping and cooking for the work Christmas do (I need to learn a better party recipe than the spinach and cheese triangles - damn things take forever to make!), Thursday was the work Christmas party and meeting with the roomie for drinks later. Friday is Cos' birthday, Saturday is laundry, tree-trimming and heading to London on the GO-bus and a party at Lee's. Sunday is lunch with Dex's mum and then getting a lift back to Toronto. Monday... I don't think there's anything planned. Yet. I know there's a potential roast beast night sometime next week, just not sure when...

So, um, yeah. Don't expect to see me around much this weekend. *wry*
