I miss you like sleep
Jan. 3rd, 2007 09:49 amSo, day... six? of the extended New Year's mix. It's been all a bit of a blur, but a good kind of blur. Meeting 'new' people is always good, and I think we have more candidates for the regular visits. At the rate we're going, we ought to try and buy out our apartment block and set up a commune. ;)
The lack of sleep is telling, tho'. I'm feeling vaguely nauseous most mornings, and yesterday I nearly fell asleep on my keyboard. Whilst I was using it. Hopefully there wasn't too much gibberish on that chart I had to do. Still, given our last two guests have to leave the house at 5 am tomorrow, I doubt tonight will be another party night. At least Jane's got court today and Alvin's not in until tomorrow as well, so it's a less busy day. The weekend is going to be a quiet one, possibly involving phone calls - there's been too many people I've been out of touch with lately.
Good band night, too. John was in good form, once his voice warmed up, and he played a good mix of old and new songs. And everyone seemed to have a good time, which is the important part.
And there's nothing romantic about the hours I keep...
