Monday, Monday...
Dec. 10th, 2007 12:22 pmHad what is probably going to be the last quiet weekend I'm going to get until January sometime, with Sunday being spent in my PJs all day, watching Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, which finally arrived via the Columbia people. Great stuff, with the nice combination of pathos and insanity that you find in a lot of British comedy - films work better when you care about the characters.
Last week was insane busy for work, and today hasn't been too much better with the start, although it's calming down now. Alvin's got a Licencing Appeal Tribunal matter running three days this week, so he's prepping last-minute stuff today and that involves a lot of "Jo, can you just..." Which just happened again in the middle of typing this.
It's possibly going to be a long day. *wry*
Weird phantom pain things going on today. My right hip did something weird on the subway this morning, resulting in what feels like a pinched sciatic nerve - the joint slips sometimes, especially when I haven't been exercising, and sometimes there's a nerve gets in the way. There's a pain almost like a bruise over the bottom rib on the right side, just above where Fred lives, and a hotspot, but given a) I haven't bumped into anything there that I can remember and b) it suddenly started, it's confusing. And one of my tension headaches just hit, again on the right side, although that could be related to the hip pain - it's making my back tense, and I'm clenching my jaw as a result. *shakes head* I'm just a mess today, aren't I?
Might go for lunch soon. Caffiene and food could help.
