Back from the doctor

Good news - I don't have a chest infection. Or bronchitis. Although it was a close call on that one. The diagnosis is, instead, that my lungs have gotten all butthurt with this 'flu - basically, they're reacting to the bug in my system and have gotten over-sensitive, reacting to everything that could be an irritant. Which is good, because I'm not a fan of antibiotics and the way they decimate my system. I have an inhaler, and if things aren't better in a couple of days, it's back to the doctor for me for a course of antibiotics.

I don't actually have asthma, but my dad sort of did, and I've inherited an inclination towards sensitive lungs. Hence hayfever in spring, the occasional issue with dust, and this sort of thing when I get a nasty 'flu. I'm glad I did some cleaning today now - washed the couch covers and my bedding, vacuumed the couch cushions, swept the living room floor. Less dust and cat hair floating around ought to help.

Bad news - my shiny new inhaler cost me a hundred bucks. *sighs* So much for actually being ahead of the game budget-wise this month. I'm still going thrift store shopping with Aisy on Sunday tho', since I desperately need at least another pair of work pants, and a warmer skirt.

Still deathly tired, despite the amount of sleep I got yesterday. That might be mood-related, tho'.
