Lazing on a Sunday afternoon
Mar. 2nd, 2008 11:40 amWell, morning, still, by 20 minutes. ;) But yeah, it's a lovely, sleepy kind of day, with the sun shining, the heater keeping the place toasty warm so I can sit around in my PJs and the cats are... being kind of psychotic, actually, but they seem to have tired themselves out at least. Just the perfect morning for me to get my equilibrium back.
Life has been kind of bouncing from extreme to extreme lately. Work bounces between OMG! insane busy to pretty boring. Social life is drought or flood. Friends are... well, pretty universally insane, but that's usual. *grins* All my friends are fuck ups, guys, the Whitlams aren't wrong there. Roll on spring.
Had Mindy and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] over for dinner last night, with my spinach and cheese filo pastry pie. I don't make it a lot since a) filo pastry is a pain in the butt to use and b) the roomie doesn't do eggy things and this has a pretty quiche-like texture (at least when it's not a bit gooey, like it was last night - didn't let it sit enough. Still tasted good!). It was nice, chatting over a meal and then watching The Princess Bride while Mindy painted my toenails shiny lavender.
Oh, and Friday I had a guitar lesson, first in a while. For someone who hasn't been practicing, I did pretty well. *grins* And we worked out a technique that might help with my wrist position, since it's a bit weird right now and is restraining my fingers a bit.
Hmm, I suppose I should get breakfast and shower. In a bit, maybe. Couch is comfy, as are pyjamas.
