Work tally
Aug. 11th, 2009 06:22 pmLast week - worked overtime every day. Unpaid, since I am a lowly government employee, albeit one with a contract now.
Monday - started 9:35, half hour lunch, finished 7:15. Came home in a state.
Tuesday - started 8:55 lunch at desk, finished 5:30 because Alvin decided to call me at 4:55 to ask me to do something.
Library - I'd say it's about 2/3 done. Maybe 3/4. We have a pile of books for the lawyers to say yea or nay to keeping, another pile of duplicates, and I have a bookcase full of binders to label, sort and shelve, plus a bunch of books to sort and shelve in some kind of order. It's starting to at least look like a proper library, instead of a bunch of shelves containing a mess.
Jane's back, which meant a bunch of things today to get her back up to speed - luckily I've been keeping her pretty organised while she was gone so it wasn't a lot of stuff. Apparently we have someone who was convicted back in 2006 appealling against his conviction and another appealling against the case he's already paid the restitution in. Both screwed up service of their applications by giving it to the wrong people, so we have Surprise!Motions to do.
Alvin's away doing court in Belleville, Whitby tomorrow, and should be back on Thursday to drive me bonkers. I'll have to make sure I get the filing done by then since I won't have time after that.
Sick days - none taken in July at all. One in June, iirc. I think I'm back off the Absentee Program, at least.
I like what I do. I'm good at it. But ye gods I'm looking forward to next year and taking some time off. Especially since I seem to have no time or energy for anything else but work. I haven't been to the gym for about a month now, since the overtime makes it impossible, and I've been coming home, eating and going to bed pretty much, which makes me a whole lot of not-fun. No wonder my mood's bouncing around all over the place and doing the odd downward spiral. The thing that keeps me going is knowing that it really good be a lot worse.
