Good news, annoying news

The cheque for my personal loan has been received by my credit card company! On December 1!
Annoying news!
The bastards are holding onto the money until they receive some kind of confirmation that it is actually for my credit card and won't bounce, despite the fact it was a bank cheque sent from my Canadian credit union and has a copy of my statement attached and all the right account numbers. So whee, I get to make a detour home (since I can't call overseas from work) so I can call them and yell at them a bit, when I have counselling tonight. In the meantime, I'm getting hit with fees and interest on top of what I already owe and the cheque will no longer cover the entire debt. Which means more playing around with PayPal until I make it go away.
Ah well, at least this means I eat at home and save some money?
And the guy from the credit union here has been Awesome. He's chased this up for me over the past three days and at one point was even offering to hand deliver a cheque to me here at work, since we weren't sure if the first one had even gotten to Australia yet or not (he'd asked for courier delivery, some bastard sent it regular mail, hence the delay from last month). Justin truly has gone above and beyond in this case.
(Also, I updated my icons, adding some made a while ago by the talented [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] as part of a series of prompts. So I have new ways to express my ire in picture form!)
