It doesn't take much to make me happy. Today the cafeteria had my favourite coffee flavour available, so I have a nice big mug of it sitting on my desk, along with a bowl of non-fat yoghurt with some trail mix and honey thrown in to make it flavourful.
One of my tension headaches yesterday (still having twinges today), which means no writing of any kind. So today is my WRITE ALL THE THINGS day - catching up on NaNo, posting to various tags, that sort of thing. After breakfast and filing, that is.
The lawyers have mostly been out of the office this week, attending a conference. I've been using the time to catch up on various things - like filing, bleh - but I keep getting stuff coming in. Most annoying. Don't they know ALOC week is quiet time? Also, office politics stink.
I have Friday off - Remembrance Day - and I've taken Monday off as well, to get my passport renewed and do some various other errands. I'm planning Friday to be a WRITE ALL THE NANO day (or at least, try and hit the 25,000+ mark, maybe higher), before joining the Write In at Starbucks that evening. I'm up to 12,600 words, even with last night's break, so I'm on schedule, at least. Things are coming together pretty well, too - I've just introduced my last main character, Angus, the Fae rookie cop. He's a lot of fun.
Tonight is Catching Up With Chores - two batches of kitty litter to scoop, taking out the garbage, putting away the dishes. Making dinner. All that good stuff. At some point I need to photograph the clothes I'm trying to sell on the [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] community, but I'm guessing that might have to wait until the weekend. We're going to London on Saturday for [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s birthday, but Sunday should be free.
And Lawyer Who Left is here to sort out some outstanding issues, so that's me done. Later, peeps.
