Last night I was cooped up and bored and kind of frustrated with things, so I took myself out for a walk. I haven't done that for a while, it seems. I walked up Runnymede to our soon-to-be new house and checked the keys (we had an issue yesterday, so I wanted to double-check things) and then back again down Windermere. It was about 8:30 in the evening, at the tail end of twilight, the air still and mild but still warm enough to wear just a tank top and shorts. Most of my walk was in the residential areas, and periodically I'd pass a house where someone was sitting on the front steps or on the patio or even on the fence, enjoying the evening. Or the lights would be on inside and I could sneak a peek into the lives of those inside - I've always been something of a people-watcher.
I'm really glad we found a place to move to in the area.
