Second - the difficulty is this: I'm 33 years old, I've been a public servant for almost eight years, and I have been trying to break out for the same amount of time I've been trying for these various promotions, over the past nine months. All my experience is court-related, and the only thing I seem to be able to apply for is lower-paying, menial administrative positions, which I then don't get because I don't touch type.
It's not so much wanting to fit in, it's more finding something they'll let me do. And since all my experience seems to be in the courts, the courts seem to be where I'm going to be stuck. Especially since I don't have the money to do further training because my current wage doesn't allow it.

But I do appreciate the thought.
