I stopped at the fruit and veg place on the way home and bought food. 'Cause fresh food, y'know, is a good thing. Especially when you've been sick. It's good for the vitamins.
Mel and I share the same bizarre craving for green leafy stuff. After my shopping I just had to make stir fry, with lots of veggies and some tuna tossed in at the end for that added zinc (also good for the immune system) and protein and B vitamins. Good? It was bloody unbeleivable, especially after a week of two minute noodles and toast.
I also picked up a bunch of fruit - apples, bananas, nectarines. The first nectarines of the season, and the first one I had was truly sensational. You can bet I'll be taking one into work for lunch tomorrow, along with the rest of the stirfry.
Sometimes I think I need to look after myself better. I should not get this excited about fresh food.
Sleep now - still really tired, but at least my nose is clearing. Although I had to get my third box of tissues today - I've already been through two, that's how sick I've been. ;)
