I've often thought Dr. Seuss was a vastly underappreciated genius. Yes, I know he was beloved by millions, adored by schoolchildren everywhere, but it wasn't enough.
The man had a gift for being able to make you feel good about yourself. To make you feel like you could do anything. And he did it with a lot of simple rhyming.
I think everyone should have to read his books when they become adults too. Just to remind themselves.
