At last, an ending.
Jan. 12th, 2004 10:10 pmThe last instalment *inserts hollow laugh here* of Collective Mutants is done and posted on OTL and Southern Stars. Go read, or not; all I know is, I'm not writing any more. I'm a horror/crime writer, not a soap opera writer, dammit! ;)

Date: 2004-01-14 02:44 pm (UTC)Very happy to see some resolution in Collective Mutants, even if it's unspeakably sad about Fatimah. The Fish/Allison thing was just a little too dangly at the end of the last one. I loved the little detail about how her tops fasten with laces down the back. Mmmm... I would have thought that her mother would come, even if it meant defying her father... dunno, actually, maybe not. Allison's self-centred-ness was also nicely authentic. And the bit where Fish goes "I dunno about _you_, mate," about getting sex was hilarious. Oh yeah, and the symbolism of fire and water mutations just not mixing was pretty, if subtle.
Why no more soap opera? You do it so well... *sticks tongue out at Rossi-mama and runs off giggling*

Date: 2004-01-22 07:51 pm (UTC)Have I told you lately that I love you? 'Cause I do.
And I know you said this is it for the series, and I won't try to talk you out of that...
...
...no, really, I won't! (Although you shouldn't make dares like the one you did at the beginning of the fic, ya know. I happen to have lots of spare plotbunnies, like some kind of closure regarding the whole Fatimah situation... *innocent look* What? You thought you only had to watch out for Phil?:P)
