The RPG That Ate My Life
Jan. 14th, 2004 06:46 am*glares at Dex and Mel* Thank you so much, guys. It's official - I'm seriously into this whole X-Project thing. It's been so long since I last wrote with other people and even longer sicne I did X-related stuff and I'm finding I'm really enjoying this. And Amanda is a lot of fun to write - she plays with people's heads so very much.
Jet lag continues since I woke up at 6.00 this morning with some pretty freaky dreams, as does box packing. Sometimes I feel seriously weighed down by the sheer amount of possessions I have. I've pruned a bit and there's two boxes of stuff for the Brotherhood down the road, as well as some furniture, but still, there's so much Stuff!
I guess I've gotten too used to having only what I can carry with me.
Speaking of travelling, it was odd how much more like myself I felt this last trip. The airports, the backpack, Point A to Point B... it felt more like home than this place has. And it was only two days later I found myself pausing outside the Flight Centre looking at flight prices. *sighs* Nothing for a while now, after the New Year's thing, but I'm starting to think I have a serious problem here. Travelling is almost as bad a habit as heroin, I swear. As expensive, too.
Real estate stuff is sorted out - old agents have been paid and an inspection time arranged, new agents have also been paid and keys collected. *hang head* I had to stop by the new place on my way back from getting the keys to do a gloaty dance. Good thing is that it still looks like it did in my head whilst I was away. :) I think I'll be happier there than I was here. Got somewhere to grow things, for a start, and no neighbours' cars parked outside my bedroom window for second. Ahh, actual privacy is a good thing. :)
*looks around at piles of boxes* Gah, stuff. Since when did I turn into a packrat?
