Turn the switch off, make sure the bulb's cool. Hold the socket (if it's an old fixture, there's probably a hanging socket?) with one hand, and use a dry cloth or rubber can opening square to carefully turn the globe (bulb to us Americans). If it breaks, THEN call your landlord. :)
