When the muscles in the back of your neck and head get tight enough and irritated enough to cause a headache they can also irritate the muscles in your cheeks, around your ears (which normally feels like an earache) and around your eyes. I've gotten tension headaches around my eyes, ears and cheeks for years, even before I ever got your standard kind of ones. *shrugs* I normally just heat pack them. I've never figured out if it does anything, but it's warm and warm is good. :)
Also down your shoulders and into your back, but I don't think you get that? Could just be me. ;) Hope it's clearing up by now, though.
