deathpixieI hadn't reckoned on the addictive power of LiveJournal. Talk about having the shaking hands and the dry mouth, waiting for my next fix. ;) Any way, I'm glad it's back, if only so I could add to Andraste's identity discussion.
An example of the quality of police officer here in Wodonga. Today, for a joke, one of the constables decided to give the Court foyer a squirt of capsicum/pepper spray. Only problem was, a little of the stuff goes a long way indeed. I had to serve at the counter, and was coughing and choking and sneezing for the next half hour. A good thing I'm not asthmatic. I'm seriously contemplating putting in some kind of complaint - a joke's a joke, but that stuff is a weapon for fuck's sake. You use it to control suspects, not as air freshener.
*shakes head* Someone grant me patience to stay here another four months.
Actually, I'm in a much better mood this evening than I was earlier on in the day. Good thing LiveJournal was down, or you would have gotten another rant post. BRM gave me a shoulder rub, and he's improved his technique, because it didn't hurt and actually made me feel much more relaxed. So I'm harbouring good thoughts towards him at the moment - I think he's realised he's been a total prick the last week and has decided to make amends.
Still waiting on news of the Mildura job - they'll have to say something this week, as the poistion starts on September 10. I'll need to work out how I'm getting there, and some notice would be helpful. Especially since I'm contemplating buying my iBook before I go, so as to at least have a computer with me. Look at it this way - four weeks without the Net will give me stacks of writing time, especially if I have a laptop with me. And I was getting one anyway. Just want to find out about this secondment first.
I realised today just how many stories I have "in progress" (a pretty relative term, as some haven't progressed for the last six months!), as I was fighting off a John Constantine fictive. Yes, I've had another Hellblazer idea, but I'm keeping quiet as I've found once I discuss a story or post any part of it here, I lose interest. I'm keeping him at bay now with up-beat dancey music. *chuckles*
