So, the apartment's become something of a plague vector. Dex has been sick with a cold all week, something he managed to pass onto Lise in all its glory and apparently Mindy has it now too. I'm half-immune - I've got the stuffy nose and slightly claggy throat but I've yet to succumb to anything more than hayfever-like symptoms. And I won't, if the echinacea I've been taking has anything to do with it. *cuddles*

I do have an issue of my very own, tho'. The dizzy spells are back and getting a bit too frequent for my liking. So it's calling Mindy's doctor on Monday (they aren't open on the weekends, phooey) and hoping they have someone taking patients. Yes, Canada is weird - the only way to get a regular doctor is to get a referral or find someone taking on new patients. Bah. But I need a regular one instead of the walk-in clinic because I need the full blood work-up. I have this sneaking suspiscion my B12 is dropping again - dizzy spells, feeling faint (I had to sit on the edge of the bath this morning and stick my head down before I fainted in the shower, bah) and I noticed I'm getting the flashes of light in my vision again. Plus feeling really tired. So yeah, looks like I've finally developed a tolerance for my supplements and I need to up the dose. Dammit.

And yay, I'm still dizzy even after toast and juice. Bah again.

In other news, Pretty Night at Big Daddy's has been downgraded to dinner at Big Daddy's, on account of most everyone being too plague-ridden to feel pretty. And I need to think of something to do for my birthday on Wednesday. *meeps* I'm not very good at picking birthday stuff. And man, I don't want to be sick on my birthday - I broke the curse last year and I don't want it back. *wahs*

What you might have is a low-level infection in your ear. Remember when I kept ghaving dizzy spells last year, along with weakness that wouldn't go away? Turns out I had a very low level sinus infection that my body had been fighting for a month. It had settled in my ear, hence the dizziness, and my immune systemn kept fighting it off, hence the weakness.

I'd ask the doc about whether or not you could have one, or even an ear infection. My doc gave me some antibiotics and it cleared right up. :)

Sorry to hear you're still not feeling so well.

As for the horrible plague, I think through some strange computer osmosis curse thingy it got sent my way instead. Bleegh.

Early birthday greetings from the East Side, as we won't be seeing you prior to the natal day. We'll have to remedy that soon, btw.

That's socialized medicine for you...

Has nothing to do with socialized medicine, mate. Australia has socialized medicine and I've never had a problem finding a regular doctor here.
