On birthdays and other matters...

deathpixieSo yes, my birthday today. I found another grey hair and I got my parcel from my parents. :) There was the Waifs' double album, which I'm adoring since it's all bluesy and rocky and so very distinctly Australian. The accents make me homesick. I also got a copy of Of Mice and Men, the John Malkovich one. And best of all, my new credit card, which I called to activate and found the PIN has changed because my credit card company are paranoid that way, and that they've also failed to send said PIN to my parents. However, I realised that I can still use it for online stuff and paying bills etc, just can't take money out, which is the last thing I do with it any way given the fees. I'm apparently more brain dead lately than I thought.
HOwever, despite the brain deadness, I managed to do the banking stuff needed in order to get my new computer. Now I just need to choose a date and drag a couple of people to come with me.
Health update... Finding a regular doctor in Toronto is difficult. I'm going to try the walk-in clinic and see if they'll give me a full check up since yes, the dizzy spells are still happening, although I'm managing them with a combination of large doses of B12 and carrying emergency sweet stuff around with me for in-between times since it looks like I need food every four hours. *mehs* I'm drinking a lot more fluids too. It's all rather annoying, especially since I'm getting the fatigue and the brain fuzz associated with low B12.
Sometimes it makes me almost want to go through the months of digestive hell in order to go back to eating meat. Then I remember what it does to me and change my mind. ;)
Finally, some very belated thanks, since I suck. I blame the fuzzy brain. Thanks to the Auscon crowd for my lizard frdige magnet and most importantly, your letters, which made me smile and giggle quite a lot. Love you guys, really.
