Sharing the obsession...

So, last night I took philf and indiana_j indoor climbing at the gym down on Front Street. Phil's an old hand, being my climbing buddy in Melbourne, but it was IJ's first time. *grins* It's always a thrill to watch someone try something for the first time, have trepidations, but overcome them and really enjoy themselves. 

Yes, I think we have a new convert to the Way of the Rock. :) Now to find myself a climbing buddy here and get back into it myself. Or hell, just go bouldering, as much as I get bored doing that - it'd still be a good work out for the climbing muscles.

And in other obsession sharing news... two potential new XP people. *hees*

*grins* AusCon needs a trip to a climbing gym. I haven't gone since the last time you, Amanda, Phil, Alan and I went and I seriously miss it. Or heck, during next DexCon even.

I would like to try rock climbing, although I could be terrible at it since I have a minor terror of heights. But I abseiled once and that was good (going downwards, anyway). Would you mind taking me climbing sometime?
