Nothing. I got nothing. I just felt like jumping on you. Why's it so quiet? We had turkey last night, but it was all salty and gross. Stupid American turkey.
I prefer one with a free health system, thanks. ;) Given I'm a temp, I don't get health insurance and I'd prefer to actually get access to competent medical services.
I got paid today! Which means sushi for lunch, since I've been so good and bringing it every day, which means eating at my desk and therefore not getting a lunchbreak. :( No wonder I'm tired and cranky - no break and no fresh air in the middle of the day.
Yesterday when Mike was burning the trash, he decided to be helpful and burn up a few of the tumbleweeds that have been lounging about in the way since last week's windstorm. One fell out of the trash can and set the lawn on fire....
Is that an Aussie expression?- In New Mexico it takes over where native grasses should grow. Once there were huge plains of grass here. The Army cut it down around 1860-s - around the time of the US Civil War bailed it for their horses at a fort in Kansas. It came from the plains of Russia. ---- I think I have your blog because of David Bridie - which I use to as a mood alter as needed.
Not so much an Aussie expression as something from those old westerns, where tumbleweeds blow through abandoned towns? And I hadn't realised its origins - sounds like some of Australia's 'helpful' imports. Like rabbits. ;P
