Don't mention Christmas shopping. I still have to figure out what on earth I'm supposed to get my parents as they're not interested in ANYTHING at all these days. I'm starting to lean towards a piece of blank cardboard or two.

From what they're saying, unless I've missed something in the last day or so, it doesn't look like the fires are going to move north, either. Which, all things considered, is a good thing.
