Good news - I don't have gallstones.

Bad news - I don't have gallstones.

To clarify - I've had constant pain for the past week, I'm nauseous a good chunk of the time, I can't eat without pain/nausea/gassiness and there is apparently, no bloody reason for it.

While I should be glad I might not need surgery after all, I'm not exactly happy. It's the vertigo all over again. No answers and no feeling better.

I need to go do laundry now.

*hugs* There's just no answers yet, right? They're still working on finding out what it is?

More bad news - You don't need to have stones to have problems with your gallbladder. Some people, instead of having actual stones, have what we call "sludge" in there. It causes smaller, more easily cleared obstructions than stones, but it's still just as painful. May I ask what the ultrasound report said?

I'm so sorry. I wish I had better words for you, but I don't.

That really really sucks. :/ Hopefully it turns out to be something that's easily fixable. Sending you good karma (still).

I'm almost willing to lay money that the offical reading comes back with "sludge", then. The techs can only offically "read" the obvious stuff. Sludge is more subtle.

*comforts* There's all kinds of inflammation that you could be experiencing. I never got whether or not they gave you any pain medication. :( Don't hesitate to be "whiny" at the doctors. Inflammation needs to be alleviated; toughing it out doesn't so any good, as I found out with my torn tendons and torn rotator cuff.

I really doubt it's all in your head. I hope you can get something for the pain and nausea, even if there's no visible reason. It's very hard to heal when you can't eat or rest.

I hope Epona's suggestion of 'sludge' is confirmed by your doc - at least then you'll have a diagnosis and it sounds curable. Chin up, love. ::hugs::

Even more hugs... don't go with what the technician said -- they're not really supposed to tell you anything, that's the doctor's job. Wait until after your appointment.

And sometimes the sludge starts forming on the outside of the gallbladder. I had literally NO room in my gallbladder for all the stones packed inside, and the sludge had started forming outside a small tear. *gag*

Oh, shit. I"m glad you don't have the gall stones but shit. I think the worst part of something like this is not knowing what the bloody hell is going on. It freaked me out for months with the fibro.

I really hope you get some answers soon.

*hugs* dudette

Hope all is better soon. Properly better. All of it.

I have to say that would be an interesting medical certificate. "Miss S can't attend work for the next two weeks. She is suffering from sludge." :)

Take care of yourself, sweetie, or I shall be forced to come over there and take care of you. In say, early July.
