The forums i have been searchinf indicate you may not have a version of Acrobat as advanced as that used to create the doco. So, as correctly suggested above, uninstall the version you have now, go to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html and grab the latest version for your OS, install that and see if you have the same problem.
If you do, i'd suggest grabbing a fresh copy of the original document.
