--let me say that I'm speaking as someone who recently *made* this choice. Granted, it's not as far out where I am (two hours drive, not seven) but I completely understand where you're coming from, darling.
So, I think I'd have to say... it depends on whether you consider your future plans (europe, Canada) more important than the next six months. If you do.... I don't know. I would stay.
But then, if you really want to move to Melbourne, you should do it.
At heart I'm a practical person, so I would probably advise that you stay in Wodonga for now so that the trips you do take in the future will be longer and you'll have more money for them. (Lord knows, sometimes I regret moving back home, even though it does mean I'll see Italy next summer). But...
Like I said. I'm putting next summer above right now. If you want to do the same, then, yeah. It's a tough call. *hugs* Whatever you decide, we'll be here.
