deathpixieSo, on my way to work this morning, I had one of those gut sinking realisations - Jane was in today, I hadn't prepped her files and one of them was a trial for Monday. Yeah, apparently my brain shorted out on me. So, we made do, and I was going to prep the trial and courier it to her.
Off I went to the photocopier.
Somehow, I managed to finish the job. Twelve witnesses, fortunately none with more than nine exhibits, and a bunch of legislation, and I managed to get it all together and ready before Jane left. So I've a) saved my own ass, b) saved the department some money on couriering a large box of documents and c) made life infinitely easier for Jane, since it's a tricky case and she needs time to prepare. It's amazing just how much I can do when I'm concentrating 100% on it.
Of course, now I want to die, but hey. *wry* Definitely shouldn't have stayed out as late as I did.
