Progress, at last

Home again today. Got up when the roomie left for work, called in, called the doctor and discovered they aren't taking walk-ins today, and then curled up on the couch under the fuzzy blanket and slept until 12. Got up and took my meds, as my head was pounding, the coughing was getting insane and I felt like death warmed up.

Two hours later... I feel better. As in the coughing's died down and isn't uncontrollable, the aching and fever has stopped and I can think for the first time in days. I think I've finally hit the upswing.

I may even be able to go to work tomorrow and do all the stuff that's been piling up since Monday.

I'm sorry you're not well, and sorry for snapping, I'm just really tired of that joke, especially when I've been feeling horrendous the last few days.

Also, I know you want to go in tomorrow, but please don't push it if you think you're still icky. Take the long weekend and get Better so that on Monday you're better equipped to deal with this week's backlog. Watch soaps. Pet cats. Take obscenely long showers (for the steam, natch. ;) Make ze roomie bring you oj. Build yourself back up a bit.

The roomie has been wonderful through this, even despite my attempts to infect him. *wry* But yes, if I'm still feeling gross, I'll take the extra day, as much as it'll hurt the pay packet.
