Dec. 24th, 2009 09:27 amAh, Christmas Eve in the office. I work it more often than not, especially since I moved to Canada and the traditional trip home is a bit trickier these days. One of the lawyers has supplied pastries and juice for breakfast - delivered desk to desk, even! - and I'm awaiting the arrival of Alvin. It should be a quietish day, even with Alvin here, and we get to leave around one. Edit: Everyone else leaves at one - I'm here until 4:30 in case the batphone rings since Sonia has stuff still to do and has the family Christmas thing.
Why can't work be like this all the time?
I'm calling home today to wish the folks a happy Christmas (it'll be Christmas morning there and I have to get them before they pick up my grandparents to have lunch at my brother's house). Mum called yesterday, but I was stuck at work, meh. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] also called, until work got busy for her. One more gift to pick up (for the roomie's mother and stepdad), rent to be paid to the roomie and I'm all set.
And now - coffee!!!
