You are going to some of the most spectacular bits of Italy. It will be difficult to stop wandering as there will be something new and wonderful around almost every corner. My fave bits of Rome include the Palatine Hill and the Basillica of San Clemente, which has a 12th century basement and a Roman street in its sub-basement.
