So, somehow I'm part of the Social Committee this year (I don't recall signing up for this, mind you!) and we have a gathering this afternoon to discuss potential activities for the work holiday party. Thus I turn to you, o wise and knowledgeable Internet.

Caveats to remember:

1) We have possibly 15 people, max.

2) We're a government Ministry full of lawyers. While I appreciate the suggestions of Strip Poker and Truth or Dare, I'd rather not get fired or sued. ;) Ditto with drinking games, sorry - only a few of us actually drink.

3) This is over a meal, so the amount of preparation and equipment should be minimal. No lengthy explanation of rules or doling out of cards.

4) Things that have worked in the past: trivia, guessing games of various types (match the baby photo to the adult, etc.) and adult versions of pass-the-parcel.

So, anyone got any suggestions or do I do my best Ralph Wiggum response and play dumb at this meeting?

(I mean, I do the decorating. I wash dishes. I help set up. I don't do organising of party games!!)

Or Sonia could throw a couple of links at me to skim read and choose some options. Yay! The internet has everything!

See if someone has a copy of the game Apples to Apples? It's a very fun party game, and it can scale to pretty much any group size.

Grab sheets of paper and pencils and play Who Can Think Of Unique Thing On Letter Whatever?

I have no idea what it's actually called, but every person (or, well, 5-6, because 15 could be a bit much) first come up with a category: Clothing, TV show, Movie, Girl's name, etc, and then a letter. 2 points for unique answer, 1 for shared, 0 for no answer or wrong answer (like Grapefruit in the clothing category). It's either done on a timer or first one done yells done and it's all pens down.

It's more fun than it sounds like?

IDK how well these would work with adults but there's always pass the pulse - you all hold hands and someone holds a stopwatch. They call go, squeezing the person whose hand they're holding's hand and it gets passed right around the circle. It's a good teamwork one.

Or 20 questions?
