Sad? No, I don't think so. Granted, I don't know you very well (although I'd gladly hop on the first International Flight out there, if it weren't for my crushing Student loans *grins*), but I don't think wanting to spend time with someone with like interests is that bad. If you're not looking for the same thing, then you're not looking for the same thing.
As for the hurt shoulder... Hell, I'm not a doctor. All I can do is recommend a nice warm bath, plenty of sleep, and medication if it gets really bad. Well, I can (and do) also feel bad that you're in pain and hope you feel better soon. *hugs*
