deathpixieDay five ahoy. Because what I need is a meme where I get to beat myself up for various mistakes.
Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.

Day Six: Five people who mean a lot to you (in no order whatsoever).

Day Ten: One confession.
1) Been stubborn about not changing high schools. At the time I didn't want the people bullying me to 'win' by driving me out, but looking back, I might have done better at a different school. Except I knew a private school (which was what my parents were suggesting) would have been beyond our budget, so maybe not, with the guilt and all.
2) Convinced the ex to give us another chance when he brought up the state of our relationship after Woolongong. We had the opportunity to end it relatively easily and painlessly (compared to what actually did happen) then and I talked him out of it.
3) Gone back to live and work in Wodonga. It's not a bad place and I like to visit my family there, but it's not somewhere I can fit in and I pretty much derailed my career by doing it. Thanks to the ex.
4) The whole one night stand spree I went on in my early thirties, after the breakup. I really damaged my self esteem by making myself feel like a whore and looking back, it really was self-destructive.
5) Been too scared to let people in dating-wise back when I was getting offers. By convincing myself I was too "damaged" to be in a relationship, I missed out on a few chances and now I'm wondering if those were the last ones I was going to get.
6) Let the depression get as bad as it did before going the medication route. I wasted a year that way and ingrained a lot of bad habits that are really hard to get out of now.
