Sounds crazy, but maybe you do? I mean, exercise is great for fighting depression (there's research that shows it's as good as meds in some people) and martial arts ranked pretty high in being VERY good at it (goal-oriented, organized, semi-social, high amount of endorphins) and I bet you could find a place that would deal with the ankle issues.
